Luxury fashion distributor MadaLuxe Group opened a 9,000-square foot showroom and headquarters in New York City. The new East Coast office base will help the iconic European brand expands its direct-to-consumer and wholesale businesses.

“Our new headquarters and showroom allows us to conveniently connect with the many luxury brands and retail companies that are traveling to or are based in New York. Prior to this, we had multiple showrooms; by combining everything into one location, we can interact with our clients on an ongoing basis and work more collaboratively,” a MadaLuxe spokesperson told FierceRetail.

The sleek modern space—designed with the help of Ssuperette—will showoff designer handbags, eyewear, apparel, footwear and timepieces from European brands, right in the center of the city’s Garment District. The design is meant to be minimalistic so that the products can stand out. The walls are decorated in whites and grays, surrounded by silks, leathers and pervious metals on display.

However, inspired by MadaLuxe’s California roots, the space will include runway videos and Hollywood set lighting to add to the shopping experience. And as a nod to the European style, the reception area is warm and inviting, with espresso and juice bars, so that guests are encouraged to linger.

“The retail of the future is all about experiences,” the spokesperson added. “We believe that our showroom design—sleek, minimalistic, and luxurious—exudes the type of atmosphere that today’s luxury customer wants to experience while shopping. Consumers don’t want to be overwhelmed by product; our showroom embodies the boutique luxury lifestyle they crave.”
